At the time of this writing, it is 8:00am on March 1st.
One year ago, I sat behind the wheel of my car and heard the song “Say I Won’t” for the first time. Why is that important? Why do I remember that so clearly?
Let’s rewind….
One year ago I was on the way to a new job for the first time in 5 years. I had just closed the book on a previous chapter of my life. It wasn’t an easy decision. It was a very emotional decision.
As I drove to the new job, a song came on the radio. The first words of the song caught my attention.
“Today, it all begins.”
By the time the song was over, I was pounding the steering wheel and ready to take on the world.
That night when I got home, I pulled up the video on youtube because I wanted to hear the song again.
If you have followed the podcast at all over the past year, you likely know where this story has gone from there.
The journey has been something I could never have imagined at that moment. One song. One moment. 5 minutes earlier or later, a different radio station or no station at all and I have no idea how the past 365 days would have looked.
One year ago I had a moment that has forever changed the trajectory of my life. One song. One moment. One man. One friend.
Let me say this now and if you choose to keep reading, that is great too. I don’t know who reads this. I don’t know your circumstance or your story. What I know is this….

For me, it happened with a song. As luck would have it, I had the blessing of interviewing Gary Miracle for the podcast. I sent an email. There is no great big story. I sent an email and he said he would join me for an interview.

Gary Miracle is one of the most influential people in my life. He is my friend and my brother. One year ago I had no idea that I would….
Spend time at Gary’s home and meet his children, his amazing parents, his sister and her wonderful family.
I would spend an incredible 24 Hours in Orlando.
Gary and I would be able to bless others through the podcast and our friendship.
We have hosted an event together.
Not only all of that, I have launched my own business. This very platform you are reading this post on would not be here without one year ago. It would not be here without one moment. One song. One email. One “yes.”
Again I will say this for anyone reading it…..
