Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.

I am not sure about anyone else that reads this, but my heart is heavy today. Everything from baby formula to the tragedy in Texas. My heart is heavy. The world is heavy. We’re all feeling it. Maybe some are just feeling it in their wallet with gas prices and inflation.

Because He lives, all fear is gone.

If you’re like me (3 kids and a bride that works in the schools), you were shook yesterday. I’m not here to debate guns and all that. I’m speaking as a dad and a spouse. When I drop my kids off or kiss my wife on her way to work, my human mind can’t begin to comprehend a phone call they won’t be coming home. The fear and anxiety are real.

Because I know who He holds my future.

This economy. This uncertainty. So many unknowns. So much out of our control. We are slowly emerging from a pandemic where everything we thought we controlled was taken away. All of our lives were disrupted. Our calendars were cleared. Our plans changed. Our future uncertain. No one reading this missed it. It hit us all.

Live is worth the living just because He lives.

So where do we go? What do we do? This is Mental Health Awareness Month. Those that struggle too, know the struggle. There are days. There are moments. There are thoughts and there are battles. Many unseen. Many unknown. Many in silence.

I don’t know much, but what I do know is this…..

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. Because I know He holds my future. Life is worth the living, just because He lives.

Hold on friends. Lean into his grace and mercy and plan. Redemption is coming. The story, OUR story is not over.

Because He lives.
