Back to School Supplies!!
Yes, you read that right and yes I am a teacher how dare I say those words in July.
HOWEVER, I’m making a plea. Target, Staples, Office Max now having fabulous sales and with tax free week coming up I wanted to plant a seed.
We never realize how blessed to are to have access to the seemingly small needs to send with our kids to school, but some places don’t even have access to these at all.
I talked with a first grade teacher in Honduras.
They have nothing, zilch, nada.
Her wishes were pencils, paper, notebooks, glue, crayons, markers, and scissors. The small reading books they had at one point has either been lost, damaged, or stolen. Zero technology, zero supplies. Anything they use teachers have to buy with the little they earn. This is not okay. I would like to bless the people in Choluteca, Honduras in a big way. I would like to send suitcases with the next team that travel in October. Would you consider helping, even if one extra supply you can afford?
I feel it’s such a small way to equip these teachers to actually have resources TO teach these children.
